A
Note
From
Bishop
Dennis
Page.....
As we begin this New Year 2011, it is important that we put complete
trust and faith in God's plan and destiny for our future. We may
not know what we will face this year, but we know that God is in
control and that He holds the future. In Deuteronomy 7,
Israel
trusted
God
for
their future.."Your God who is among
you is a great and awesome God." Be assured that God is
greater than anything that you will face this year. "God
will
go
ahead
of
you." He will do for you what you
cannot do for yourself. The challenge was to view the
journey, "Little by Little." It will
not happen all at once, it is a journey of faith and a series of
victories.
Alexander Whyte stated, "A victorious Christian life is a series of new
beginnings."
We must follow God by faith on a daily basis. You will be tempted,
tested, and frustrated. There will be days when the plan of God will
not be clear. It takes a daily decision to commit and walk in the
promises of God. There are daily rewards for those that walk by faith
according to God's Word. As we face new challenges, don't be afraid to
move forward; the Lord is with you as you walk toward your future day
by day.
On New Year's eve, the late King George read these wonderful words to
the British people, "I said to the man that stood at the gate of the
year, Give me a light that I may tread safely into the unknown and he
replied, Go out into the darkness and put your hand into the hand of
God. That shall be to you better than light and safer than a
known way!"
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own
understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your
paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6
