A
Note
From Bishop Dennis Page.....
"But the Lord was with
Joseph and extended kindness to him. He granted him favor in
the eyes of the prison warden." Genesis
39:21
This scripture declares
that the Lord was with Joseph. It is very important
for us to remember that in our Christian walk and ministry, the Lord is
with us. He has promised to go with us all the way to the very end. We
are
never alone. Our powerful, omnipresent Lord is with us in
every situation; in good times and the tough times. Joseph
was
in prison, but the Lord was with him and extended kindness (favor)
to him.
The New Testament English
word for favor is grace. When you ask someone for a favor, you are
asking them to do something for you that you do not deserve, that you
have not earned and that you cannot do for yourself. The
true
meaning of grace is; God's unmerited favor. The
favor of God is extended to us because of the grace of God. When
we
walk in faith and obedience before the Lord, we have favor with God. It
is
not based on what we deserve or even on what we do, but it is
because of our relationship with God through grace in Christ Jesus.
Notice that because
Joseph had favor with God, God granted him favor with the warden of the
prison. He was a prisoner, but was given a position
of authority by the warden. (A prisoner in charge of the prison.) What
a
thought!
"He even made the
jailer like Joseph so much that he put him in charge of the other
prisoners and of everything that was done in the jail."
When we minister with the
favor of God in our life, God grants favor with the people we come in
contact with. Think about the many times that God
opened up a door of opportunity or caused some one to give a special
offering or times that you have been blessed and you know it had to be
God working on your behalf.
My prayer is for God's
favor to be upon you and that you will be granted favor with all the
people. Rejoice in the Grace and favor of God!
"Praising God
and having favor with all the people. And every
day the Lord added to them those who were being saved." Acts
2:27

Prayer
&
Praise Conference Report
The
Northern
New England Prayer & Praise Conference on February 24-26
was a great time of prayer, encouragement, spiritual renewal and
fellowship for all who attended. The altars were filled with ministers
and laity hungry for God. Dr. Tim Hill and Dr. Ron Martin did an
outstanding job ministering the Word of God. Lynda Martin shared an
inspiring message at the Women's Prayer Breakfast on Saturday morning.
The Youth Service was conducted off campus on Friday night. Art
Fairbrother ministered and several young people received Christ and
were restored.
Congratulations
to

Machias, Maine for completing the credential level of Church of God
