A Note From the Administrative Bishop

The death and resurrection of Jesus promises love, life, hope, power and the return of our Lord.  The resurrection completed the plan of God for the salvation of man.

As I stated in my last article: The message of the cross and the empty tomb is:

Luke 23:

v. 34 "I will forgive the unforgivable"

v. 41 "I will accept the unacceptable"

v. 43 "I will do the unimaginable"

The Resurrection is a promise of LOVE!

We witness love not only on the cross, but also in the resurrection.  The love of God not only sent Jesus to the cross, but also raised Him back to life.  Perfect love was the driving force!

1 John 4:9 "This is how God showed His Love among us; He sent His one and only son into the world that we might live through Him."

Hebrews 12:2 "...who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

Resurrection love in us is our driving force to serve the Lord.  The presence of a risen Lord that reigns in us gives us the ability to show love in everything that we do.

1 Corinthians 16:13-14 "Keep alert.  Be firm in your faith.  Stay brave and strong. Show love in everything you do."

The Message: "Keep your eyes open, hold tight to your convictions, give it all you got, be resolute, and love without stopping."

1 John 4:11 "Dear Friends, since God loved us this much, we must love each other. (CEV)

The resurrection of Jesus Christ keeps true love alive and continues to be a force in the believer's life. The love of God through Jesus Christ in us gives us the ability to love others.  This is a testimony that true love is in our hearts.

1 John 4:12 "No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is truly in our hearts." (CEV)
